It’s the show that began the burgeoning careers of Tim Minchin and Claire Hooper, and now The Big HOO-HAA!'s unique brand of improvised comedy and manic satire has moved to Thursday nights at the Portland Hotel.
Two teams of fearless comedians battle it out against each other to create comedy sketches on the spot. Armed with only audience suggestions and a handful of props, they leave no song unsung, no joke undelivered and no pun unpunished in their mad dash for the punch line.
If theatre and stand up comedy met one night in a smoky bar and after a few drinks found themselves in a compromising position in the back of a clapped out ’67 Volks Wagon, the result of this sordid tryst would be The Big HOO-HAA!
