Win a double pass to the Spanish Film Festival

Time Out Promotion

The 2012 Spanish Film Festival (beginning July 5), presented by Estrella Damm, returns to Melbourne in July and we’re giving you the chance to win a double pass to see a film of your choice during the festival.

Screening a select programme of the best in contemporary cinema from Spain and Latin America, festival highlights include: As Luck Would Have It (La Chispa De La Vida) starring the captivating Salma Hayek. This film is from the 2012 Berlinale and was named the jewel of the Tribeca Film Festival by Indiewire. It’s about an out-of-work ad executive who suffers an accident and plans to sell the exclusive interview rights to the highest bidder in an attempt to provide for his family.

Another film involved in the festival is Sleep Tight (Mientras Duermes), which is an insomnia-provoking thriller starring a pitch-perfect Luis Tosar (Cell 211). Alongside of this is the endearing drama Chinese Take Away (Cuento Chino), set in Buenos Aires and starring celebrated Argentinean actor Ricardo Darín (The Secret in Their EyesNine Queens) as a solitary man compelled to take in a Chinese lodger.

For your chance to win a double pass, simply answer the question below. Competition closes Wednesday 4 July, 2pm. Winners will be notified via phone or email.

*Valid for one session only, subject to availability. Not valid for Opening/Closing Nights or any special events, after 5pm Saturdays or Public Holidays.
